Malea McGuiness is a pop/rock singer-songwriter who has been garnering lots of attention for her inspirational new album, 'CLOSE AS AIR'. Her single "Spinning", is currently building at AAA Radio and receiving rotation from Music Choice. Coming up on July 3rd, Malea will take the stage at the 2010 Summerfest Music Festival, opening for multi-platinum selling alternative band, The Counting Crows.

• Malea has shared the stage with an eclectic range of artists: Gavin Degraw, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Ambrosia, Kevin Bacon, Donovan, Tyrone Wells, Terri Nunn, Roger Clyne and the Peace Makers, Boy Hits Car, Todd Rundgren, Ed Burns and The Blue Jackets, Green River Ordinance, Willie Porter, Uncle Daddy.
• While attending college, Malea starred in the Broadway revival of 'The King and I'.
• Malea has her own signature model acoustic and electric guitars with Korea-based company, Peerless Guitars.
• She is half Korean and half Irish.
