Why I Shop Online for Prescription Eyeglasses

I've worn eyeglasses most of my life and one thing I've learned is they are usually expensive and it's next to impossible to find the perfect pair. The last time I went to the optometrist I tried on many, many pairs of glasses and finally found a pair I loved. What I didn't love is the $300 price tag AFTER insurance. They were great, but not that great. I had to pass and decided to start searching online for better deals. I was pleasantly surprised when I found I could get a very similar pair of glasses for a quarter of the cost by shopping online!

I was afraid that it would be hard to judge how the glasses looked by purchasing online. I uploaded a picture using a webcam and tried on the glasses 'virtually' to really get a feel for how they would look in person. There are so many options at an online eyeglass retailer that finding the perfect pair is bound to happen.  I just made sure to have a current prescription and was able to order glasses easily.
