This book was a super quick read and is packed with great recipes, nutrition and diet information. Papas' system is about a lifestyle change and cooking with fresh, nutritious ingredients. Most of the recipes take less than 30 minutes to prepare and are full of flavor. The diet plan includes alot of salads, yogurt, milk and seafood. If you don't like salad or seafood, this would be a hard plan to follow.
The book outlines an entire 9-week meal with easy to prepare recipes. This diet is super easy to follow because it is very detailed and tells you exactly what to do eat each day and how to prepare it. If you have a large family to feed, you will need to double, triple or quadruple the recipes, because the portions are for one person. If you live alone, this plan would be amazingly simple.
Personally, I am not going to do the full 9-week plan, because my family won't eat most of the seafood recipes and I refuse to cook two meals. However, I have already started adding more vinegar and olive oil to our diet and have tried a few of the recipes. I am also regularly eating greek yogurt as recommended.
If you've been searching for an easy diet plan that includes flavorful foods that are easy to prepare, Slimmer is for you. This plan is about real foods and real results, no gimmicks or magic pills. I really appreciate that this book is about creating a healthy lifestyle for long-term weight loss and maintenance.
